Tracy Belcher
Tracy has been teaching Pilates in Miami for more than 10 years and owns the Pilates studio and brand, Pilatay®.
She was first certified to teach Pilates through Polestar Pilates®, internationally recognized for its therapeutic approach to Pilates.
At Polestar®, she was introduced to Franklin Method®, a system that uses anatomical embodiment and Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery (DNI) ™, to create lasting change in body and mind, and completed a teaching certification under the method’s founder, Eric Franklin.
Soon after, she became curious about “classical Pilates,” or the original Pilates system as designed by Joseph Pilates. She knew that many teachers and Pilates programs had adapted and altered the exercises and equipment throughout the years, but there was a community of “purists” who still followed the original approach.
She decided to take my teaching to the next level and pursued a classical Pilates certification from Real Pilates® (by Alycea Ungaro).
She is now a third-generation Pilates teacher, which means her teachers were taught by direct proteges of Joseph Pilates. This was important to her, because the more pure and close to the original Pilates method her practice got, the more benefits she experienced.
Through the classical Pilates method, she saw how Pilates helps all people, any age and any ability, achieve their maximum physical potential.
She teaches private and semi-private group Pilates classes on all Pilates apparatuses in her Miami Pilates studio and online, and occasionally teaches group classes online.
If you are interested in learning Pilates, or just want to chat, contact her at hello@pilatay.com.
All prices are for studio staff. Please note an additional $25 fee will charged at time of service for sessions booked with studio owner, Tracy Belcher.
